After the summer off, Adult Education weekend workshops return to Shoreham Academy this October! As ever, with one-day workshops ranging from Floristry to Psychology, Italian to Photography, and Carpentry to African Drumming, we’re confident that we have got something on offer for everyone.

‘Aspire 2B Me’ is a new project set up by Aspire Sussex Adult Education which offers a selection of free courses to people over the age of 19, who are recovering from mild to moderate mental ill health, which could include anxiety, depression or sleep disorders.
The project is part of the National Government funded Community Learning Mental Health Pilot which aims to prove that adult education can have a significant and positive impact on individuals’ lives.

- Art for Wellbeing
- Creative Writing
- In Your Own Words
- Singing for Wellbeing
- Managing Anxiety
- Managing Anger
- Food and Mood

Aspire Sussex has been accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) to deliver its accounting qualifications.
AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and professional body for vocational accountants. Its qualifications give students practical skills to work in a range of finance and accounting jobs. People with AAT qualifications go on to work at all levels and in all sectors of the economy with some running their own accountancy practices.
Aspire Sussex are pleased to be offering the following AAT qualifications in local centres across West Sussex:
- Level 1 Award in Accounting (Access)
- Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping
- Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting
- Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
- Level 2 Accounting Skills to Run Your Business
Only AAT Approved training providers are allowed to deliver AAT qualifications and courses and they must first go through a rigorous verification process. Students should therefore only register with an AAT Approved training provider to ensure they receive the highest standard of teaching.
