What is the course about?
In the instance of a Government imposed lockdown if this course cannot be moved to online it will be paused until it is able to begin again. No refunds will be made due to a Government imposed lockdown.
This course will help you take your cakes to the next level. You will learn, practice and develop your cake decorating skills. We will practise getting that smooth finish on your cake covering and try out different techniques to decorate your cake to include: side designs, frilling & textures, painting/lustre/sparkles, piping with royal icing & simple sugar blossoms.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This course will be suitable for those with some experience in cake decorating or for those with an interest in learning new techniques. No qualifications are necessary.
What do I need to bring with me?
6 cupcakes in a box
250g pack of sugarpaste (in a colour of your choice)
250g pack of Modelling paste (from Tesco or Sainsbury’s)
Small rolling pin (available to borrow)
Icing sugar in a sifter
Any moulds or small flower cutters you have
Piping bag and a large star nozzle piping nozzle
Cloth or wipes to clean surface
NOTE: Items available from sugarcraft stores/supermarket/Lakeland or the internet.
