What is the course about?

We will process your enrolment and contact you if we need to see evidence of your benefits or pay. This is for funding purposes. Following this, your course will be set up and your Assessor will contact you to advise on how to access your course. This qualification is designed for anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill-health. This qualification aims to raise awareness of mental health and a range of mental health problems. The objective of this qualification is to develop the learner’s understanding of a range of mental health problems, which could be used to support their role in the workplace or where they may work or interact with individuals with mental health problems. To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, learners are required to successfully complete 13 mandatory units:  Understanding mental health  Understanding stress  Understanding anxiety  Understanding phobias  Understanding depression  Understanding post-natal depression  Understanding bipolar disorder  Understanding schizophrenia  Understanding dementia  Understanding eating disorders  Understanding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)  Understanding obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)  Understanding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification. You will need a good level of English to be able to read the course material and respond to the assessed questions. We will discuss this with you at the Induction meeting.

Are there any additional costs?

The course is fully funded if you are 19+ and have lived in the UK/EU for 3 years.
