What is the course about?

Each week the tutor will demonstrate techniques in watercolour and acrylic. The tutor will use the professional artists' work to show how they have utilised, colour, tone, contrast and composition to create their paintings. Still life painting is a wonderful means by which to explore and develop the fundamentals of drawing and painting: Proportion and relative proportion. Composition and the relationships of objects. Students may begin to bring in their own source material as their confidence and skills develop.

Drawing and Painting Materials. Heavy weight paper 300gsm + , paints, pencils, charcoal, paintbrushes, masking tape.

Continue onto the following course of Still Life painting to further develop skills and confidence. Begin to work on your own source material and projects. Branch out into other art making techniques.
