What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course.
The course aims to develop your confidence further in understanding and communicating in simple, routine tasks and practical situations.
The emphasis will be on developing your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The structure of the language is introduced through everyday topics and practical situations; you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: describing yourself and other people, daily routine, talking about recent events, expressing preferences and opinions, shopping, describing the area where you live and holidays and travel.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You can already understand and use simple phrases and sentences in practical situations, or have completed a Level 1 course with us. If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available from our centres and on our website.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper. At the first session your tutor will discuss with you the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook.
