What is the course about?

In the instance of a Government imposed lockdown if this course cannot be moved to online it will be paused until it is able to begin again. No refunds will be made due to a Government imposed lockdown.
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course that aims to consolidate your communication skills in simple, routine tasks and practical situations.
Speaking, listening, reading and writing will be developed through everyday topics and practical situations and you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: describing yourself and other people, daily routine, talking about recent events, expressing preferences and opinions, shopping, describing the area where you live and holidays and travel.

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You can already understand and use simple phrases and sentences in practical situations, or have completed a Lower Improvers course with us (CEFR:A1). If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available on-line and from our centres.

What do I need to bring with me?

Pen and paper. At the first session, your tutor will discuss the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook with you.
