What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course that will develop basic communication skills in practical situations for students who intend to use the language on holiday or for work.
Speaking, listening, reading and writing will be developed through everyday topics and practical situations and you will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country. Topics could include: family and personal information, describing yourself and other people, shopping, holidays and travel.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. This is a course is for students with a very basic knowledge of the language, or who may have completed an absolute beginners course with us (CEFR:Pre-A1). If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available on-line and from the centres.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper. At the first session, your tutor will discuss the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook with you.
