What is the course about?

This Learning for Personal Interest course will enable you to develop basic communication skills in practical situations.

Speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will be developed through a range of everyday topics and practical presented in a variety of written and audio-visual formats (i.e.short texts, interactive exercises, short videos, etc.). Topics could include: personal information, describing yourself and other people, shopping, holiday and travel.

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. This is a course is for students with a very basic knowledge of the language, or who may have completed an absolute beginners course with us (CEFR:Pre-A1). If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available on-line and from our centres.

What do I need to bring with me?

Pen and paper.

Are there any additional costs?

There are no additional costs for this course. At the first session your tutor will discuss the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook with you.
