What is the course about?
In the instance of a Government imposed lockdown if this course cannot be moved to online it will be paused until it is able to begin again. No refunds will be made due to a Government imposed lockdown.
If you have limited experience, you will develop skills to create relief carvings (2D) and carvings in the round (3D), and if you are more experienced it will be to improve your skills and learn new techniques.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is an established group that welcomes newcomers with some experience of woodcarving, alongside more experienced students.
What do I need to bring with me?
All tools are supplied, but if you have any chisels and a mallet of your own it would be helpful. Pencil; Wood carving tools if you already have them; you do not need to buy any tools yet. Once the learner has completed the set tasks they can go on to projects of their own choice.
Are there any additional costs?
Materials for these projects should be supplied by the learner with guidance in the class on purchasing from the tutor.
