This is a Learning for Health & Wellbeing course. Building on techniques learned through the self-care programme, this course provides you with an opportunity to explore strategies for enhancing the wellbeing of others. It will include connecting basic listening skills with common wellbeing challenges and identifying which may be most helpful. There will also be discussions around local support services. This course could be helpful across a broad range of circumstances, but will also provide an opportunity to explore simple counselling skills before committing to further study.

This is a Learning for Health & Wellbeing course. This course will introduce you to simple self-care techniques, including reducing the impact of negative self-talk and developing self-compassion. You will also have the opportunity to explore other factors on wellbeing such as exercise, diet, hydration, sleep and relaxation. Through the course you will be encouraged to produce a personal action plan and to work through a self-reflection process to help you to make positive changes.

This Learning for Health and Wellbeing course is an introduction for anyone who has an interest in exploring the relationship between food and mood.
This course will start to explore the relationship between food and mood. It will enable you to begin to evaluate how your current food and drink choices can affect your moods and how your moods can influence what you choose to eat and drink too.
The course will cover:
• The mood-altering effects of some foods and drinks
• The role of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) on our mental health
• How to identify and introduce dietary changes to support positive mental health
• Practical and achievable ways to put the theory into practice with food choices, meal ideas and recipes to support mental health and wellbeing

The course will be taught online by a qualified Nutritional Therapist who works in the nutrition education sector and is registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

This is a follow-on Learning for Health and Wellbeing course for those who have attended the introductory course- Food and Mood One- and wish to continue to learn more about nutrition and mental health wellbeing.
This course continues to explore the relationship between food and mood. It will enable you to further evaluate how your food and drink choices can affect your moods and to explore how you can adapt your diet to support positive mental health and wellbeing.
The course will cover:
• Advancing nutrition knowledge from Food and Mood One to support mental health
• The relationship of the gut-brain link to mental health
• The role of micronutrients (vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals) to support mental health
• The impact of common food intolerances on mental health
• How to identify and progress dietary changes to support positive mental health
• Practical and achievable ways to put the theory into practice with food choices and menu planning to support mental health and wellbeing

The course will be taught online by a qualified Nutritional Therapist who works in the nutrition education sector and is registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
