What is the course about?

The course will look at artists of the 18th century Rococo period. Each session will be a short biography of an artist told through a PowerPoint presentation. Artists included will be: Hogarth, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Tiepolo, and Watteau. We shall also take a look at Neoclassical artists like David and Ingres. This is an exciting period of history which includes the rise of the British Empire and the French revolution.

What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?

This is suitable for students who have little to no background knowledge, or the student who has studied the subject, but enjoys learning a bit more.

What do I need to bring with me?

A notebook and pen.
