What is the course about?
This Learning for Health and Wellbeing course continues to work on core and spine stability to make daily tasks easier. Starting on a chair, students can progress to working with a chair as an exercise aid, as needed.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This course follows on from Chair Pilates 1 and is designed for students who need support from a chair to enable them to exercise more freely and for learners who would like some extra support to become physically active or maintain their current health state.
What do I need to bring with me?
For this course you will need; appropriate clothing for exercise, a non-slip mat, a flat cushion or blanket to sit on, a towel and a bottle of water. We recommend that you should always seek the advice of a GP before taking up physical activity or vigorous exercise. Should you feel it necessary to share relevant details of your medical history with your tutor, please ask them for a health check form and complete it as soon as possible. This form will not be copied, or the information on it, be transferred to any other document and will be shredded at the end of the course.
