What is the course about?
Are you keen to learn watercolour painting, but don’t know where to start?
Or did you learn watercolour painting a long time ago and need a refresher?
Through a series of demonstrations you will be shown some basic watercolour techniques and some exciting texture techniques that will reveal the beauty and versatility of this medium.
By the end of the day you will have produced samples of watercolour painting techniques and at least one painting.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is a course for beginners and those who need a refresher.
What do I need to bring with me?
Several sheets, or a pad of cold pressed watercolour paper, minimum size A4, a 2B pencil, an eraser and sharpener.
Any watercolour paints you already own, or tubes of Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Red, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, Winsor Blue Green Shade and French Ultramarine (or the nearest equivalent to these 6 colours).
Any watercolour brushes you already have, or a medium size round brush.
Plastic palette, 2 plastic water pots, kitchen paper.
