Improving mental wellbeing through learning

‘Aspire 2B Me’ is a new project set up by Aspire Sussex Adult Education which offers a selection of free courses to people over the age of 19, who are recovering from mild to moderate mental ill health, which could include anxiety, depression or sleep disorders.

The project is part of the National Government funded Community Learning Mental Health Pilot which aims to prove that adult education can have a significant and positive impact on individuals’ lives.

Courses on offer include:

  • Art for Wellbeing
  • Creative Writing
  • In Your Own Words
  • Singing for Wellbeing
  • Managing Anxiety
  • Managing Anger
  • Food and Mood
