What is the course about?
This is a Learning for Personal Interest course that will enable you to consolidate your communication skills in simple, routine tasks and practical situations.
Speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will be developed through the study of a range of topics presented in a variety of written and audio-formats (i.e.brief magazine articles, interactive exercises, short videos, etc). Topics could include: describing yourself and other people, talking about recent events, expressing preferences and opinions, shopping, holiday and travel.
What previous experience, knowledge or qualifications do I need for this course?
This is the follow-on of a pre-established class that welcomes new learners. You can already understand and use simple phrases and sentences in practical situations, or have completed a Lower Improvers course with us (CEFR: A1). If you are unsure of your level, please contact us and ask to speak to the tutor for further assistance. Diagnostic self-assessment sheets are available on-line and from our centres.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper.
Are there any additional costs?
There are no additional costs for this course. At the first session your tutor will discuss with you the purchase of a suitable dictionary and textbook.
